Thomas Jones - Music Director

The North Bay Symphony welcomes Thomas Jones as our Conductor and Music Director.  Originally from the Sudbury area, Thomas completed a Master's Degree in Performance at Northwestern University, Chicago in June of 2002.  During this time he was also a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.  Prior to that, Thomas attended Cambrian College in Sudbury where he received the President's Medal of Excellence in 1997.

In addition to working alongside principal members of the Chicago Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra, Thomas has had the privilege of playing under the conductorship of Daniel Barenboim, Pierre Boulez, Christoph Eschenbach, Michael Gielen and Pinchas Zuckerman to name a few.  Mr. Jones will act as the North Bay Symphony's main contact for players in the orchestra.  Thomas has his own music studio here in North Bay where he has been extremely successful in building a youth strings program.   Send Tom an email by writing to maestro@northbaysymphony.org
